1 week ago Thursday night 20th March 2014, I attended a Lenten Retreat talk at St. Simon Church in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It started on Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday whole day till night and Sunday half day. The theme "THE MOST EXCELLENT HEALING" conducted by Putri Karmel Sisters from Tambunan. The topic was 7 Deadly Sins. Apart from talks, the retreat also provide ample time for prayer, adoration, personal counselling and above all to celebrate God's love, mercy and healing. 7 Deadly Sins consists of PRIDE, COVETOUSNESS, LUST, ANGER, ENVY, GLUTTONY, SLOTH I found myself fall into these category such as PRIDE, ANGER and ENVY PRIDE: Sometime I feel I want others to recognize me as a person who contribute my effort ANGER: This is my top sin, easily get angry but manage to control myself from harming others. How? Maybe I am afraid. ENVY: Sometime I am very jeslous of other who can have material things as they want. Also other to take away of my personal collection. My most relax time is the adoration time where we spend time with God. Many time the good Lord will put me to sleep It was a good Lenten Retreat for me. I feel like an "ONION" with so many skins to peel off, that is why I feel not enough, I NEED MORE of GOD words to excite me. Brothers & Sisters of Christ, do pray for me to turn over to a new leaf.
